PRODUCTS

What gets us out of bed in the mornings, what really moves us is when we develop bespoke solutions for our clients, and indeed this is where most of our work comes from. Examples of these include EMS for Eminox, S&S and UAV Engines. However for less specialist needs, we also have a range of six generic products which are available through our distributer SBD Motorsport https://www.sbdmotorsport.co.uk. For volumes in double figures, we can quote directly.

Connecting the ECU to the PC

Connecting the ECU to the PC

There are a large number of different forms of PC-ECU connection, depending on the model, age, vehicle installation and variant of ECU. Generally, ECUs either connect to the PC using its serial (RS232, 9-pin D-type) port or a USB port. If the ECU is USB/CAN, you can only connect using an MBE Systems USB-CAN interface unit. These can be purchased both from MBE Systems directly and from UK distributor SBD Motorsport.

For serial ECUs you must connect using a serial cable (‘curly lead’) available from MBE Systems per this diagram:

If you connect using an ordinary serial cable you may damage your ECU.

Instructions
